JISHOU, HUNAN — The International Olympics Committee picked Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics, placing the Games in South America for the first time in history. That’s a good thing, and Rio can be congratulated for a job well done (bem feito). Photo gallery of happy cariocas. Chicago coulda been a contenda, but it was cut in the first round of votes.
